I spent a lot of time at the weekend trying to get ahead with my guided reading planning. It is my least favourite subject to plan as it takes longer to plan that the time I have allocated to teach it!
Now I don't mean to be negative because I do actually enjoy TEACHING guided teaching but my question for you is: What is your least favourite subject to plan for?

My least favorite subject to plan is writing because it is my least favorite to grade!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely writing! Half the time because it is so difficult to assess! I also agree about guided reading - love teaching it but it can be a pain to plan for so many different groups, especially when each lesson only lasts 15-20 minutes!

I think I have found phonics the hardest to plan for in the past because it is only a 15min/20min lesson per day, there are lots of different groups and certainly when I began there were so few resources and activities for the children to do - even now it is difficult to come up with new and exciting ways to practise phonics particularly for those struggling learners.
