February Currently

February already - surely not! A whole month has flown by and there are only 2 weeks until half term break! That part is good but it's scary how quickly January has come and gone...

Thank you Farley at Oh Boy Fourth Grade for hosting this great linky each month!

Here is my Currently for February:

Listening: I don't really know why I'm listening/watching the tennis as it's not really a sport I am interested in but it's on and it's background noise while I check out what everyone else is currently up to!

Loving: I use phonics play all the time in my classroom but it is seriously lacking when it comes to games teaching the spelling rules. So I've decided to make my own based on the ones my kids love from the site and am very impressed with myself! As soon as I posted this picture to IG last night I spotted the mistake - don't worry - it's not finished yet!

Thinking: MORE observations this week on Wednesday. That means lots of stressed colleagues and lots of pressure. Not fun.

Wanting: We haven't had a single snow day this year. Lots of snow on Tuesday night would be perfect...

Needing: Was science book marking on my currently in January? I feel like they probably were.

Pageant title: I am sure I am not the only one who is claiming this title!

What are you up to? Don't forget to link up with Farley!

Have a great week ahead!

  1. Making Spelling games sounds like a great way to keep the kids entertained while they're learning!

  2. Oh mine love the 'trash or treasure' games on Phonics Play but your right- when you get past Phase 4 there isn't much there! Your game looks fun- let me know how it goes. Try ICTgames- some fun stuff on there (plus its all free). I would love a Snow Day- we got a 'dusting' on Wednesday and were all wishing it to stick but no such luck :( Have a fab week- observation will go swimmingly I'm sure Xx

I have two observations coming up this week. I really don't mind except my students sort of lose their mind when they have an audiience! Good luck, Jen

  5. Ugh. Observations. Necessary evils I guess. I'm wishing you a snow day... I have one tomorrow. And I want to hear about your game when it's done. See you around. Kathleen Kidpeople Classroom
