Hello!
I've been finding out loads about some fellow bloggers through this great linky by Stephanie from Falling into First and thought I would join in with the fun!
I am a UK blogger and live in the south of England about an hour away from London. This September I will be starting my 10th year of teaching (I feel shocked to say that - where have the years gone?). Most of those years were teaching in Year 6 (I believe that is the equivalent of fifth grade - 10-11 year olds?) but I moved to Year 2 (first grade?) last year for a change and a challenge and that is where I am staying for the time being.
THESE ARE A FEW OF MY FAVORITE THINGS...
My gorgeous cats, reading, my sewing machine, making things pretty, making lists, stationary, laughing with my sister, taking photos.
IF YOU WEREN'T A TEACHER, WHAT WOULD YOU WANT TO BE?
I always wanted to be a librarian or more recently I'd love to open a little sewing shop somewhere!
THREE LITTLE WORDS THAT DESCRIBE YOU.
Loyal, hardworking, mischievous.
"I'd love to jump through those hoops for you, said no teacher ever!"
Q: IT'S YOUR BIRTHDAY AND YOU CAN INVITE ANYONE {DEAD OR ALIVE} TO THE PARTY. WHO ARE YOU INVITING?
I am not a birthday person and avoid celebrating where possible. Just my family will do!
Q: IF SOMEONE WROTE A BOOK ABOUT YOUR LIFE, WHAT WOULD BE THE TITLE?
Just try your best.
Q:YOU GET TO PICK ONE SUPERPOWER. WHAT IS IT?
Teleportation or the power to be up, ready and looking amazing in the blink of an eye!
Q: WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE QUOTE OR SAYING?
Q: IF YOU HAD TO SING ONE SONG ON AMERICAN IDOL, WHAT WOULD IT BE?
Independent Love Song - my sister and I used to love warbling along to this together!
Q: ARE YOU A MORNING PERSON OR A NIGHT OWL?
Q: WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE RESOURCE THAT YOU'VE CREATED IN YOUR TPT SHOP?
I love the word work products I've made as developing vocabulary is so important at our school where children have very low starting points when they join us. I'm having a giveaway of 3 sets of 5 of those vocabulary building products at the moment so feel free to enter (you have nothing to lose!). I'll put the link at the bottom!
Q: SHARE SOMETHING WE MIGHT NOT KNOW ABOUT YOU!
Pixie Anne is a silly nickname I am fond of from many many years ago (my real name is Gemma!).
Thank you for stopping by to find out a bit more about me today! Here is form to enter my giveaway
(I hope it is working properly - please let me know if it is not):
